HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN IBU DENGAN PELAKSANAAN MENYUSUI PADA IBU PRIMIPARA DI PUSKESMAS TELING ATAS KOTA MANADO

Pemberian Air Susu Ibu  yang belum optimal disebabkan oleh kurangnya kurangnya pengetahuan ibu tentang manfaat ASI bagi bayi terutama ibu yang pertama kali melahirkan atau primipara. Selain itu keterampilan dalam menyusui merupakan pengalaman awal yang memberikan rasa sakit sehingga ibu cenderung belum siap dalam memberikan ASI pada bayi. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan ibu dengan pelaksanaan menyusui bayi pada ibu primipara di Puskesmas Teling Atas Kota Manado. Metode penelitian survey analytic dengan pendekatan cross sectional.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu semua ibu primipara di Wilayah Puskesmas Teling Atas Kota Manado pada bulan Februari sampai Mei 2018 berjumlah 127 ibu menyusui. Pengambilan  sampel dengan accidental sampling sejumlah 38 ibu primipara. Analisis data menggunakan uji Chi Square.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 86.6% ibu primipara memiliki kategori pengetahuan baik, Pelaksanaan menyusui ibu primipara berada pada kategori baik, terdapat hubungan pengetahuan ibu dengan pelaksanaan menyusui pada ibu primipara (0,00 1 < α 0,05). Kesimpulan ada hubungan antara pengetahuan ibu dengan pelaksanaan menyusui pada ibu primipara di Puskesmas teling Atas Kota Manado. Disarankan bagi petugas kesehatan untuk meningkatkan penyuluhan/sosialisasi pada ibu-ibu melahirkan khususnya ibu primipara tentang manfaat ASI, teknik menyusui  pada bayi dengan baik dan benar.

 ABSTRACT

The provision of breast milk that is not optimal is caused by a lack of mother's knowledge about the benefits of breastfeeding for babies, especially mothers who are first time giving birth or primiparas In addition, skills in breastfeeding are an initial experience that gives pain so that mothers tend not to be ready to give breast milk to babies. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between mother's knowledge and the implementation of breastfeeding for primiparous mothers at Teling Atas Health Center Manado City. The research method is an analytic survey with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all primiparous mothers in the Teling Atas Health Center area of ​​Manado City from February to May 2018 totaling 127 breastfeeding mothers. Sampling by accidental sampling of 38 primiparous mothers. Data analysis using Chi Square test. The results showed that 86.6% of primiparous mothers had good knowledge category, the implementation of breastfeeding for primiparous mothers was in the good category, there was a relationship between mother's knowledge and the implementation of breastfeeding in primiparous mothers (0.00 1 < 0.05). The conclusion is that there is a relationship between mother's knowledge and the implementation of breastfeeding in primiparous mothers at the Teling Atas Health Center in Manado City. It is recommended for health workers to increase counseling/socialization to mothers giving birth, especially primiparous mothers about the benefits of breastfeeding, breastfeeding techniques for babies properly and correctly.
