PENGARUH PERAWATAN PAYUDARA TERHADAP PRODUKSI ASI IBU NIFAS DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS TUMARATAS KABUPATEN MINAHASA

Abstract

Masalah pada menyusui sering terjadi pada ibu pasca bersalin, produksi ASI akan meningkat sehingga payudara menjadi bengkak. Namun apabila ibu tidak segera memberikan ASI kepada bayinya akan menyebabkan bendungan pada ASI sehingga ibu akan merasanya nyeri pada payudara dan demam. Mengatasi permasalahan tersebut maka dibutuhkan perawatan payudara. Perawatan payudara atau sering disebut Breast Care bermanfaat merangsang payudara sehingga mempengaruhi hifofisis untuk mengeluarkan hormon prolaktin dan oksitosin bertujuan untuk memelihara kebersihan payudara, memperbanyak atau memperlancar pengeluaran ASI. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dengan menggunakan metode Pre-experiment dengan rancangan One group pra-ost test design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh ibu nifas di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Tumaratas Kabupaten Minahasa berjumlah 27 ibu dengan sampel berjumlah 16 ibu dengan teknik simple random sampling. Data yang diperoleh dianalisa menggunakan uji statistik wilcoxon  dengan Asymp. Signifikan (α) : 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil uji two related samples wilcoxon tast diperoleh nilai p  = 0.01, untuk itu berarti nilai p = 0.01 lebih kecil dari pada nilai α = 0.05 maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima yang artinya bahwa ada Pengaruh perawatan payudara terhadap produksi ASI ibu nifas di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Tumaratas Kabupaten Minahasa. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu Produksi ASI sebelum melakukan perawatan payudara pada ibu nifas di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Tumaratas Kabupaten Minahasa sebagian responden masuk pada kategori kurang lancar. Produksi ASI setelah melakukan perawatan payudara pada ibu nifas di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Tumaratas Kabupaten Minahasa sebagian responden masuk pada kategori lancar. Ada pengaruh perawatan payudara terhadap produksi ASI ibu nifas di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Tumaratas Kabupaten Minahasa.

ABSTRACT

Problems with breastfeeding often occur in postpartum mothers, breast milk production will increase so that the breasts become swollen. However, if the mother does not immediately give breast milk to her baby, it will cause a dam in the breast milk so that the mother will feel pain in the breast and fever. To overcome these problems, breast care is needed. Breast care or often called Breast Care is useful for stimulating the breasts so that it affects the pituitary to secrete the hormones prolactin and oxytocin, which aims to maintain breast hygiene, increase or facilitate the production of breast milk. The research design used is research using the Pre-experiment method with the One group pre-ost test design. The population in this study were all postpartum mothers in the Tumaratas Public Health Center, Minahasa Regency totaling 27 mothers with a sample of 16 mothers using simple random sampling technique. The data obtained were analyzed using the Wilcoxon statistical test with Asymp. Significant (α): 0.05. Based on the results of the two related samples Wilcoxon Tast test, the value of p = 0.01, for that means the value of p = 0.01 is smaller than the value of = 0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is an effect of breast care on the milk production of postpartum mothers in the Work Area. Tumaratas Health Center, Minahasa Regency. The conclusion of this study is that the production of breast milk before breast care for postpartum mothers in the Tumaratas Health Center Work Area, Minahasa Regency, some respondents fall into the substandard category. The production of breast milk after breast care for postpartum mothers in the Tumaratas Health Center Work Area, Minahasa Regency, some respondents are in the current category. There is an effect of breast care on the milk production of postpartum mothers in the Tumaratas Health Center Work Area, Minahasa Regency.
