PENGARUH METODE SIMULASI BENCANA BANJIR TERHADAP TINGKAT KESIAPSIAGAAN SISWA SMP KRISTEN TATELI KECAMATAN MANDOLANG KABUPATEN MINAHASA

Abstract

Upaya penanggulangan bencana di Indonesia memiliki tanggung jawab untuk menyelenggarakan pendidikan sebagai upaya mewujudkan pembangunan budaya bangsa termasuk membangun budaya kesiapsiagaan bencana warga negara, yakni secara khusus kepada anak atau siswa. Anak-anak tersebut adalah pihak yang harus dilindungidan secara bersamaan perlu ditingkatkan pengetahuan kebencanaannya, Mitigasi meliputi tindakan perlindungan yang dapat diawali dari persiapan sebelum bencana itu berlangsung, menilai bahaya bencana, penanggulangan bencana, berupa penyelamatan, rehabilitasi dan relokasi. Dari sekian banyak kegiatan mitigasi, satu yang paling strategis adalah pembelajaran atau pendidikan Tujuan Penelitian yaitu Diketahui Pengaruh Metode Simulasi Bencana Banjir terhadap Tingkat Kesiapsiagaan Siswa SMP Kristen Tateli Kecamatan Mandolang Kabupaten Minahasa. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian Quasi Eksperimen dengan menggunakan rancangan penelitian one group pre test and post test design. waktu pada Agustus 2023 dan tempat penelitian di SMP Kristen Tateli.Teknik pengambilan sampel total populasi berjumlah 16 Uji statistik yang digunakan adalah uji statistik “Wilcoxon” dengan derajat kepercayaan 95% bila Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai P value = 0,011 sedangkan nilai α = 0,05 sehingga nilai P value = 0,011< α = 0,05. Dengan demikian Ho ditolak dan H1 diterima, maka ada pengaruh kesiapsiagaan siswa di SMP Kristen Tateli Kecamatan Mandolang. Kesimpulan Dari hasil penelitian, tingkat kesiapsiagaan siswa SMP Kristen Tateli Kecamatan Mandolang Kabupaten Minahasa sebelum pemberian metode simulasi bencana banjir sebagian besar kurang baik. Tingkat kesiapsiagaan siswa SMP Kristen Tateli Kecamatan Mandolang Kabupaten Minahasa sesudah pemberian metode simulasi bencana banjir sebagian besar baik. Saran dalam Penelitian ini yaitu Penelitian ini dapat menambah khasanah ilmu geografi khususnya pada kajian studi bencana. Memberikan tambahan pengetahuan dan wawasan dalam proses pembelajaran siaga bencana.

ABSTRACT

Disaster management efforts in Indonesia have a responsibility to organize education as an effort to realize the nation's cultural development including building a culture of citizen disaster preparedness, specifically for children or students. These children are the ones who must be protected and at the same time need to increase their knowledge of disaster. Mitigation includes protective measures that can be started from preparation before the disaster takes place, assessing disaster hazards, disaster management, in the form of rescue, rehabilitation and relocation. Of the many mitigation activities, one of the most strategic is learning or education. The aim of the research is to know the effect of the Flood Disaster Simulation Method on the Preparedness Level of Tateli Christian Middle School Students, Mandolang District, Minahasa Regency. This research is a quasi-experimental study using a one-group pre-test and post-test design. time in Agustus 2023 and the research location at Tateli Christian Middle School. The sampling technique for a total population of 16. The statistical test used is the "Wilcoxon" statistical test with a 95% degree of confidence when. The results of the study obtained a P value = 0.011 while the value α = 0.05 so that the P value = 0.011 < α = 0.05. Thus Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted, so there is an influence on student preparedness at Tateli Christian Middle School, Mandolang District. Conclusion From the results of the study, the level of preparedness of Tateli Christian Middle School students, Mandolang District, Minahasa Regency before the introduction of the flood disaster simulation method was more lacking than good. The level of preparedness of students at Tateli Christian Middle School, Mandolang District, Minahasa Regency after being given the flood disaster simulation method was much good. Suggestions in this research are that this research can add to the repertoire of geography, especially in the study of disaster studies. Provide additional knowledge and insight in the learning process of disaster preparedness.
